Hard Reset ACER A511 Iconia Tab

First method:

1. At the beginning, switch off the tablet by holding the Power button.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button.
3. Then press the Power button for a few seconds while still holding Volume Up. 
4. You can release the Power key as soon as you feel the tablet vibrate.
5. Press the Home button to see Recovery Mode menu.
6. Press Volume Down to choose "Wipe data/factory reset" and then push the Power button to confirm.
7. Select "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power key to select.
8. To restart the device, select "Reboot system now".
9. Cogratulations! You have just performed a hard reset operation!

Second method:

1. If the display if off, press the Power button to turn it back on. 
2. Go to Settings and then to Privacy.
3. Tap Factory data reset. 
4. Choose Reset device and select Erase everything.
5. Well done!

Third method: 

1. Firstly, turn off the device.
2. Then press and hold the Volume Up button.
3. While still holding Volume Up press the Power button for a few seconds. 
4. Release Power key when the tablet vibrates.
5. Quickly work the Screen Lock Switch as soon as the tablet vibrates (while holding the Volume button).
6. Good job!
