Hard Reset ACER A701 Iconia Tab

First method:

1. First, turn off the device by holding the Power button.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button next.
3. Then press the Power button for a few seconds while still holding Volume Up. 
4. You can release the Power key as soon as you feel the tablet vibrate.
5. Press the Home button to see Recovery Mode menu.
6. Press Volume Down to choose "Wipe data/factory reset", and then push the Power button to confirm the operation.
7. Choose "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power key to select.
8. In order to restart the device, select "Reboot system now".
9. Well done! You have successfully performed a hard reset procedure!

Second method:

1. Press the Power button to turn on the display. 
2. Go to Settings and then to Privacy.
3. Tap Factory data reset. 
4. Choose Reset device and select Erase everything.
5. Success!

Third method:

1. Firstly, turn off the device by using the Power button.
2. Then press and hold the Volume Up button.
3. While still holding Volume Up press the Power button for a few seconds. 
4. Release Power key when you feel the tablet vibrate.
5. Quickly work the Screen Lock Switch as soon as the tablet vibrates (while holding the Volume button).
6. Good job!
