Hard Reset GIONEE Marathon M5

First method:

1. In order to switch off the device hold down the Power key for a short while.
2. Afterwards press and hold Volume Down + Power button at the same time for a couple of seconds.
3. When the Gionee Logo appears on the screen release the Volume Down and keep holding the Power key.
4. Press Volume Down to choose "Clear eMMC", and then push the Power button to confirm.
5. Success! The hard reset has just been performed.

Second method:

1. If the display is off, press the Power button to turn it back on.
2. From the Main Screen choose Settings.
3. After that select Backup&Reset and tap Factory data reset.
4. In the next step choose Reset Phone.
5. Select Erase everything to confirm the whole operation.
6. Great job! Your device is ready to use.
